HotelReservationHelper.com is a group of specialist web sites designed in a basic fashion to enable swift booking of hotels. The idea for the site came about after a small group of individuals found themselveshating the booking process offered on other hotel sites. They decided to build a simple and fast site with all the hotels for a specific area listed on the front page. Across many hotel sites it is increasingly common to spend more time finding a suitable hotel than actually booking it.

In most cases when we went online to book a hotel we already knew where we wanted to stay, when we wanted to stay, what we expected to pay and what type of accommofation we wished to stay in. In some extreme cases we also found that the hotel sites booking system was so overbloated that it was virtually impossible to make a simple booking/reservation. One example was when we tried to book a hotel in the town of Stornoway in the Western Isles of Scotland. We, foolishly, assumed that first stop would be the official site for Scotland but we had to jump through hoops to find the accommodation listings for the area and eventually gave up.

When we started to investigate online hotel reservations and their booking systems it quickly became apparent that most hotel sites use the same central engine. We managed to find a few booking organisations and found that all the prices where equal - ie the same hotel was the same price wherever it was booked. We even checked some of the sites offering the "cheapest hotels" - not so, they were the same price as elsewhere!

As we investigated still further we soon realised that the vast majority of sites where run by small orginisations who where building sites and reselling hotel bookings - ie they used a larger companies hotel booking system and recieved a commission on the bookings. These sites where consistently found on the first three pages of search engine results.

We also found that there were 2 types of "affiliate" sites, those which only concentrated on the busy cities and those that covered all areas - both had severe disadvantages. Those specialising on the larger cities had few hotels (if any) for the lesser areas and those that covered all areas were found to be so large they were difficult to navigate.

So we decided to build our own site. Initially concentrating on the areas in which we ourselves make hotel bookings (mainly Scotland then England and France) and then expanding to cover more areas including the rest of Europe and beyond. Doing it this way meant that we could quickly book hotels in the areas we wanted knowing that we were getting the best deals available and certainly the same price as offered on "budget hotel" sites.

We hope that you find it easy to use our sites, we are sure that some may find the site a little too basic but we are sure that most will be pleased to find and easy way to book hotels at the cheapest prices available.
