Very rarely but occasionally we experience service that goes beyond the call of duty. This can be any number of things but can include bending over backwards to accommodate the disabled or helping a visitor out if the car breaks down. We feel that establishments who show this commitment to their clients deserves recognition and we have decided that they will be highlighted by the display of the trophy shown to the left. However we can not be held liable if you experience anything but 1st class service bur we would very much like to hear from you if your personal experience is different as our award is NOT permanent. 
We believe in the principle that web sites should be clear, precise and easy to use. We see no need for the use of flash or flashy tricks on a site that is primarily concerned with accommodation. We like to find our information quickly and easily but we also like as much information (and photographs) as possible to aid our decision in choosing the best hotel to stay in for our trip. We have designed our site using these principles and sometimes we find a site that meets our requirements when we do we offer a small trophy for design excellence. 
Where applicable we have listed the establishments star rating system along with the rating body. You will see AA, RAC, English TC, Scottish TB and also self-accredited. Obvioulsy some care needs to be taken if the rating has been self-accredited as it would depend on the criteria used to rate.
